Eeee! I’m so excited to post part two of Amanda and Tim’s engagement session! I love this part, they got all glammed up for a saucy downtown Chicago session. It was hot-hot-hot that night, but they rocked it! I LOVE her style here! Meow chicka meow meow!!

One of my favorite things about my job is not only meeting super cool people, but hitting the road and traveling to meet them! I love road trips :) I met up with Amanda and Tim on a very hot and steamy afternoon in Chicago a couple weeks ago. We started out with some sweet, fun, romantic shots by the waterline, and then changed clothes and headed downtown. The two parts of their session are so different, I decided to write two separate posts about it. Because I can ;) Meet today’s super sweet couple, Amanda and Tim, who are getting married in September!

Married!
I love them. Like really, really love them. Not only are they amazing people, and a totally gorgeous couple, but they’ve become good friends of ours. We were so happy to spend their day with them, running through fields, down dirt roads, and across docks on the lake. We made some amazing images together! Just when we were all done with pictures, everyone had enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Bay Pointe Inn, the music had started, and guests were mingling… something crazy and amazing happened…
They got on their wakeboards.

It is so fun to see such amazing photographs! The first one on the dock is jaw dropping…and so are the wake boarding photographs! Awesome bride & groom!
Now THAT’S cool!! :) That doesn’t happen very often, for sure.
Yeah…pretty hard to beat the wakeboarding photos, but I have to say, their first picture on the dock comes close. I don’t know what it is about that one, but what a beautiful photo.

Joy and Marc tied the knot on June 13, 2010 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Neither one of them are from here, so they planned their entire wedding from their home in North Carolina. Joy and I chatted via email quite a bit about ideas for pictures, and decided on several Grand Rapids landmarks, such as the Blue Pedestrian Bridge and Calder Plaza. In addition, she wanted a few pictures at places she had seen here on my blog. I was so glad that other k.holly couples were able to inspire her! I wasn’t able to attend the entire wedding, so this is a shorter post than usual, but we made the most of our time together. They had a perfectly intimate celebration following at the Amway Grand Plaza downtown with their closest friends and family. Congratulations Joy and Marc! It was so fun to spend the afternoon with you!

Michelle and Matt were married on a beautiful summer day, June 12 2010. I had been looking forward to their wedding for awhile, especially after photographing Katie’s wedding this winter, where Michelle was the maid of honor. It has been such a pleasure to get to know both couples, and document their stories.
Michelle’s day began at Panopoulos Salon in Byron Center for hair appointments, and then the girls gathered at her parents home for makeup with the fabulous Julie Strating. Once everyone was all glammed up, it was off to Christ Lutheran Church to meet up with the guys and that handsome groom, and get married!
