Lexi and Scott :: Married!

So fun! We were so happy when Lexi and Scott contacted us with the good news and to ask us to photograph their wedding. We’ve gotten pretty close to their family since meeting Scott’s brother CJ when we first moved to Michigan, and photographing his brother Doug (and Katelyn)’s wedding in 2010. Got all that? :)  So we knew it was going to be a fun day downtown Detroit! They had their first look and said their sweet vows at the Detroit Zoo’s Butterfly House, and celebrated with their closest family and friends at The Whitney. It was a beautiful day! Congratulations, you two!!

Congratulations to Mindy and Chad! They were married yesterday in Northport Michigan, just outside of Traverse City on the Leelanau Peninsula. Gorgeous day, incredible location, absolutely lovely couple. SO happy for these two, and we can’t wait to show you more of their amazing lakeshore wedding!

Celebrating Thirty Years!

A family that plays together… I am smiling ear to ear while going through these pictures – these guys are so happy! I love how you can see and feel their love for each other, just leaping off these images. Christine, who you may remember from her own anniversary session two years ago, her husband Ryan, and her sister Michelle have been cooking up this little idea since last summer. They’ve never had family pictures taken, and wanted their parents to have this for their 30th anniversary. What a beautiful gift! I was so happy that we were able to do this. We met up early in the morning, and I’d love to tell you that it was a lovely warm day, but come on… it’s spring in Michigan! It was pretty chilly out, but had an awesome time running around in the sunny apple orchard. I went home with a happy heart, thinking about marriage and love and family and happiness. I hope these pictures will make them smile for many years to come :)

Orin is Two!

One of my favorite little cutie-pies, Orin, is TWO! He is so bright and full of energy, and the boy loves to run! I loved every minute of his session, he kept me on my toes, it was a workout! Kristen and Juan have their hands full with this little guy. Gotta love boys! Happy Birthday Orin!!

This one cracks me up!! So funny :)

I love this one on the left – look how they run the exact same way. Melt my heart!
