Hello and welcome to the K. Holly Photography Blog! I'm so glad you're here! ((hugs!)) I'm Kristen Holly Carlson, a Wedding & Lifestyle Photographer based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is my photo blog, continuously updated with my most recent weddings and sessions, along with a few personal stories and a behind the scenes look at what I do. Check back often!

{ Ethan :: One Year }

Little Ethan is a year old! His mom Regina, a fellow photographer, requested a session with this little cutie, and I was more than happy to oblige! I had seen tons of pictures of him over the past year on her personal blog, and couldn’t wait to capture his gorgeous eyes! We went downtown East Grand Rapids and poked into a few cute little shops and just let our ideas flow. We started at a pastry shop, went into a couple antique stores, and got a few shots outside. Our biggest challenge was keeping that thumb out of his mouth! I thought it was pretty cute anyway, don’t you think? :)

Over at the antique store, we totally scored by finding this vintage Brownie camera!

And this cool EXA one too! Hm, maybe Ethan will be following in his mama’s footsteps!

angela sinness - Wow Kristen!! I was pouring over your blog since I’d just pulled up your website to send the link to my bf’s mom (told her about my girls’ beach pics session scheduled for when we come out in July) and i’m amazed!! you do such a great job!! what a cutie he is :)

I can’t wait for you to take the beach pics of my girls when we come out in July!! the girls are quite excited too. it not getting dark until after 10 will be a new thing for us too-the latest it stays dark here in az is about 7p
