Jessica + Joe { engaged! }

I met with Jessica and Joe at Reeds Lake in East Grand Rapids – where he had first asked her out.  We had some crazy weather – when we arrived, it was cloudy, cold and windy… we even felt a few icy raindrops!  But as we warmed up, the weather did too.  The sun came out and gave us some gorgeous light!  We had such a blast – I just LOVE engagement sessions.  I got to know them even better as they let themselves be romantic, cute, goofy, and even a little sexy  ;)  We started on the dock – fishing is one of their favorite things to do together.  I have to say, I was glad it wasn’t MY toes in that chilly water!  ;)

She was so cute, telling me about how they met, what he said, how he proposed,…

All of a sudden, the sun hit just the right spot, and it was like BAM! Gorgeous light!!  I love this image so much, for so many reasons ~

Have I mentioned how I love couples who jump?  :)

As we were wrapping it up and walking back towards our cars, Jessica asked if she could take a picture with my camera… of me.  It’s way different on the other side of that lens!  While I know I’m nowhere near as fierce as my clients, I think I rocked alright  ;)  It’s not very often I get pictures of me up here on the ol’ blog!

And in closing… one more jumping shot!  ;)

Jess and Joe, I :heart: you guys.  You were just so totally awesome, I cannot WAIT until your wedding!!

And just because she’s SO stinkin’ cute… and such a stinker…  I have to show you Lexi.  It was about 80 degrees yesterday and she wanted to go outside BAD.  She made it awfully hard to get Jess and Joe’s images edited – what a little turd!  :)
