April + Jason { married! }

April and Jason were married last weekend in Grand Haven – they had a perfect ceremony (heartfelt, honest, and even a little humorous!) at St. Patrick’s Church, and a gorgeous reception at the Harbourfront Grand Hall. We had plans for sunny beach images, but instead we made the best of this Michigan spring weather and got romantic, glamorous rainy images in the street and along the lakeshore.  I LOVE them!  Yay rain!  :)

I met April and the girls at Lynn Phillips Salon in the morning, where they were all getting their hair and makeup done. They all sat in a circle chatting between turns, ready for the day to get started.

They finished getting ready at the church, and helped the gorgeous bride into her dress…

After the ceremony, the bridal party and I rode around in a limo-bus, jumping out for pictures between downpours!

Pretty soon there were no more spaces between downpours, and it was just straight R.A.I.N.  So we ducked into a pub for a cocktail and some bridal-party fun  :)

The reception was perfectly planned – the details were just awesomely gorgeous. Love the color scheme!

And THE CAKE!  Omigosh, could I love this cake any more?  Seriously.

And if that wasn’t enough, they had a whole array of petite fours by the pastry chef Luis Amado. Almost too pretty to eat… almost  ;)

These guys wanted to cut the cake too…  ?  Haha  :)

April and Jason, thank you again for having me, I had such a great time with you and your wedding party!  Hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon ~ wishing you an eternity of happiness and love  :)k
