Eeee! I’m so excited to post part two of Amanda and Tim’s engagement session! I love this part, they got all glammed up for a saucy downtown Chicago session. It was hot-hot-hot that night, but they rocked it! I LOVE her style here! Meow chicka meow meow!!

One of my favorite things about my job is not only meeting super cool people, but hitting the road and traveling to meet them! I love road trips :) I met up with Amanda and Tim on a very hot and steamy afternoon in Chicago a couple weeks ago. We started out with some sweet, fun, romantic shots by the waterline, and then changed clothes and headed downtown. The two parts of their session are so different, I decided to write two separate posts about it. Because I can ;) Meet today’s super sweet couple, Amanda and Tim, who are getting married in September!

Alyssa + Matt { In Love! }

Alyssa and Matt are celebrating 7 years together! And they are every bit as in love now as they were when they said those I do’s! She’s fun and sexy, he’s hilarious and great to be around. Together, they are one of those amazing couples!! They have three beautiful children, but today was all about them. Along with Gretchen and Brent, we celebrated their love downtown Chicago on a gorgeous evening! Thanks to Chicago’s traffic, I was running late. I sat forever on the freeway, bumper to bumper, not moving, just a couple miles from where we were meeting. I could have walked there faster. As frustrating as that was, I was SO glad for it! Having a later start meant we were able to do some shooting in the dark! I LOVE the last series here with Alyssa and Matt, the sun went down and the lights came up. It was perfect! But first, a little daylight fun in the Windy City. Meet fellow photographer Alyssa, and her husband Matt, married seven years!

Gretchen + Brent { In Love! }

Meeting Gretchen and Brent, you would think they’re engaged, or newlyweds. They are young, cool, gorgeous, and so in love. It’s obvious that they adore each other, and they have one of those relationships that everyone hopes to have. They have two adorable kiddos at home, but for this session, we left them behind. We celebrated ten amazing years of marriage on the streets of Chicago.

I was so excited for this day to come! Gretchen contacted me after meeting me through the photography world. She is a photographer herself, and wanted a fun, flirty, urban session for their 10 year anniversary. We talked about ideas, clothes, and locations. Her friend Alyssa hopped on board too – you’ll be seeing her session with her husband Matt up next! So the five of us got together on a gorgeous evening downtown. We talked and we laughed as we walked up and down the streets. It was a perfect evening, I couldn’t imagine any other place I’d rather be. I love Chicago, and I love these two! Everyone, meet Gretchen and Brent, celebrating 10 happy years!

Jane + Nicholas { engaged! }

Jane and Nicholas are engaged! They are planning an upcoming summer wedding here in Grand Rapids that is going to have an Old Hollywood Glam feel. It’s going to be awesome! For their engagement session, we wanted to set the tone with this mod-vintage, Mad Men inspired shoot. Jane and Nicholas are so perfect together, they have this supercool vibe about them that makes you want to know them. They have fun together, have great style, and love to laugh. I can’t wait to see them again next month!
